Does my villa reservation require a guarantee?
All villa reservations require a credit card guarantee or cash deposit.
Do I need a deposit to guarantee my villa at Koh Tao Cabana? Is there a cancellation charge?
A credit card that does not expire prior to arrival is required at the time of reservation as well as a confirmed agreement through the online booking system that you agree to our cancellation policy. We charge the credit card 15 days prior to arrival for all room nights reserved. If a reservation is cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival, the full 100% payment is non-refundible. Please review the cancellation information carefully. We strongly recommend that you secure travel insurance for any unforeseen circumstances that may cause you to cancel your stay.
Are Tax and VAT included in the rate? Are there any additional charges?
Many resorts charge 17% in addition to the villa rate for tax and service charges and other fees. At Koh Tao Cabana, the 7% government tax is already included in your villa rate, so there are no surprise charges at check out. We are not even charge for our service, our staffs are more than happy to service you at their best.
When comparing rates, consider that our rates also include a hearty full all-you-can order Breakfast daily, WiFi and all taxes. We advise you to add up all the charges at other resorts or OTA before comparing rates! If you have questions, please contact our reservations department at info@kohtaocabana.com.
What is required upon check-in at the resort?
All resorts require guest to complete and sign registration card at check-in, copy of Identification or passport, and provide a credit card imprint or cash deposit for incidental charges.
Is there a minimum night stay requirement?
Most of the year, there is no minimum night stay requirement. Minimum stay requirements do apply to some dates due to high demand for our villas. You will be informed at the time of booking if a minimum stay applies to your dates.
How do I pay for my booking?
You can pay for your booking online via a Visa, MasterCard or AMEX
Do you charge for cancellation?

What are the standard check-in and check-out times?
The check-in time is 13.00 hours and the check-out time is 11:30 hours. We will of course do our best to have a villa available for you whenever you arrive. However, this cannot be guaranteed as it is subject to the occupancy level from the previous night.
Is it possible to check -in earlier?
It is sometimes possible to check in earlier, however, this depends on availability and cannot be entirely guaranteed.
Do you provide a service for late check-out?
Late check-out until 18.00 hrs is possible with additional surcharge 50% of room rate. Rate is subject to 7% applicable government tax. However, this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the Front Desk 24 hours prior.
Do you have special polices during the Holiday season?
During the Holiday season final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival. Once reservation is paid, it is non-refundable, non-transferable, and no changes are allowed.
How many people can stay in one villa?
All the rates shown are for 2 persons in a villa. However, each villa can accommodate a maximum of three people (vary from each villas). Please note that the extra person charge will apply.

Is there a safety deposit box available at the villa?
Yes, all villas do have electronic safes available for free-of-charge. No worry about losing the key, create your own 4-digit key lock each lock. By the way, don’t forget the digit!
What is your policy with regard to pets?
We are sorry to say that we can not accept your pets on the premises. Fine may apply for extra cleaning fees.
Do you have non-smoking villas?
We are a smoking free resort. Smoking is prohibited in all villas. Fine applies in case of violation.
Do you have extra bed?
Yes we can arrange for you an extra bed with an extra person 2,000 baht for pool villas and 1,500 baht for the others charge include breakfast. [Please check the villa that allow an extra person]
Can I have a courtesy room if I leave the resort late in the afternoon?
Late check out from your villa can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to availability on the day of your departure. This can be arranged by reception. Please note: shower rooms are available for use at public pool for free of charge.
What are the difference between villa categories?
Our Waterview, Waterfront and Hillside Suites. are air-conditioned, single-story junior suites, with 700 square feet and classic Caribbean-style architecture and décor, all with private verandahs offering beautiful views through sliding-glass doors.
Each has the look and feel of a cozy Caribbean cottage, with white-washed trim and pale-green exteriors and fronted by a welcoming porch. Differences are in the views of each suite.
What are the difference between villa categories?

What is the difference between the various suites?
Here are the main differences between our various suites: Beach Suites Villa - These are located in a separate building near the pool, between the Koh Tao Cabana and Tara wings. Bungalow Suites consist of one “L” shaped room, with a king-sized bed in the sleeping area, a kitchenette, a dining table and a sitting area with sofa. We have three Bungalow Suites in total, two facing the ocean and which allow guests to walk out onto the beach from the large redwood terrace, and a third facing the garden. Although in a very convenient location close to the beach, they are not completely secluded from infrequent passersby going to the pool, restaurant or beach.
Whitesand Viila and Sala Whitesand Villa - Our Jr. Suites are located in the Koh Tao Cabana Wing, and we have two in total. They are located on the second and third floors and both face the ocean and have double balconies. Jr. Suites have one bedroom with two queen-sized beds and a second room with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a couch.
Deluxe Cottage vs Cottage Villa - These suites offer the more discriminating guest a stylish and romantic atmosphere in a concierge-level standard of service. All Tara Suites accommodate a maximum of two adults and all suites are non-smoking. Tara Suites are all oceanfront with a separate sleeping and living room. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, with a direct view of the beach and ocean. The living area has its own television, sitting area with sofa, and a wet bar with fully stocked mini-bar, mini-fridge, microwave oven, coffee service and utensils for light snacks.
Sala Whitesand Villa - Our “Sala Villa” offer spacious accommodations with panoramic views of Sai Ree Beach. Penthouse suites have king-sized four-poster beds with an oceanfront view, a modern version of a clawfoot bathtub for romantic bathing, a living room & dining room with ocean views, TV, full kitchen, and personal safe box and free WiFi. Each Penthouse has a reserved palapa on the beach for exclusive use.

I'm looking for a quiet, romantic beach, what's Koh Tao Cabana's beach like?
While all beaches are public in Koh Tao, our location in the right-far side of the Sai Ree Beach where is its quietest and most peaceful spot. We do not allow water-sports or beach vendors in our area. As well, we have the fewest villas for the amount of beachfront, the majority of guests being couples.
While non-guests, by law, are allowed to be present on our beach, we do all within our power to maintain the most peaceful, romantic atmosphere in Sai Ree beach.
Is Koh Tao Cabana Resort a good place to spend my honeymoon?

Koh Tao Cabana Resort is an ideal resort for you. Our facilities and services are favored by couples on honeymoons, on romantic getaways, or those looking for peace and quiet. We are one of Koh Tao’s unique resorts, nestled on 30 rai ( 11 Acres). Our atmosphere is very peaceful and you can enjoy a good deal of private space.
Is WIFI internet access available?
Yes, and it is free. Wi-Fi is available in all guest villas and throughout the resort. We offer complimentary iPads for usage for the duration of your stay.
How is the security at the resort?
The resort employed a full-time security guard to monitor the resort area 24 hours.
Is there a swimming pool at the resort?
Yes, we have an outdoor swimming pool by the beach with the depth of 1.5 m.
Do you have spa service?

Are medical services available at the resort?
We don’t have has a doctor on call, however, we have a service to facilitate any medical emergency needed to the nearest clinic or medical service in Koh Tao. First aid kits are also available.
Do you have satellite television and in-house movies available?
All resorts offer a range of local and international news and entertainment channels.
Can my villa be upgraded?
Upgrades (based on availability) are included in some packages; otherwise, inquiries can be made at the front desk of the resort upon arrival. There is an extra fee per night for villa upgrades, payable locally. or Yes, upon availability and with an extra charge payable at the resort.
How many additional beds can you have in one villa?
Most villas can accommodate only one additional bed.
What type of beds do you have in the villas?
Depends on type of villa categories, we have both king-size bed and twin bed. Spiral Terra Patio, Makam Suite Villa, Jig Lae Suite Villa and Cottage Villa can offer you either king-size bed or twin bed as your liking.
Are there telephones in the villas?
All guest villas have direct-dial telephones with worldwide service. Complete telephone and fax services are available at the resort.
What are the telephone charges to dial internationally?
A connection charge of US$3 will be charged to your villa. Calls to the US and UK are US$15 for the first 5 minutes, and approx. US$5 per minute after. Rates may be subject to change.
Does my villa had a fridge?
All Suites have medium-sized fridges and all Villas have mini fridges.
Are there stereo in the villas?
In some villas are provided with bluetooth compatible stereo.
Are there hairdryers, irons and ironing boards in the villas?
Hairdryers are provided in all villas. Irons and ironing boards are available upon request.
Are the villas air-conditioned and do they have ceiling fans?
Yes, the villas are air-conditioned and most of our villas have ceiling fans.
What voltage do you use in Thailand?
The voltage in Thailand is 220 volts. If you are coming from America then you will need to use a transformer to operate certain electrical appliances.
Do I need to bring an electrical adapter?
Don't worry about bringing an adapter - we provide universal adaptor in every villa so plugging your electrical items will not be a problem. Please note that hairdryers are provided in every villa, so you may leave that out of your packing list.
Is there a gift shop at the resort?
Yes there is. Stop by “The Gecko” and check out for your unique souvenirs from Koh Tao. it is open daily from 8:00am-6:00pm. Our gift shop offers a wide variety of juice, soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits as well as snack foods for your convenience.
Are laundry services available?
Yes. we offer you laundry service with a fee.
Do you have a pool or hot tub?
Our free form 25 metres X 15 metres pool has been specially design into a stylish infinity pool with waterfalls and plush sunbeds.
Are beach towels provided by the resort?
Yes, beach towels are provided for your convenience at no charge by the resort.
Do you offer beach service?
Yes! Order your Piña Coladas or your lunch from your beach canopy. Our beach attendant will give you a red pennant, which should be used to call his attention when you are ready for service. If the pennant is upright in the sand and waving in the breeze, you will be approached for your order. While your flag is lying dormant in the sand, you will not be disturbed.
Palapa (Sala) on the beach? Can it be reserved?
We have 3 distinguish styles of beach sala exclusive for our guest. We suggest you to reserve one of them to enjoy the magnificent view in your our private sala. The private sala operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
What amenities are included in the villas?
All villa categories feature hairdryers, iron & ironing boards, mini-bars, 220-volt electricity outlets and universal plugs for appliances, ceiling fans, air conditioning, one or two televisions, villa safes, LED TV, and wireless broadband Internet. Suites have either wet bar, kitchenette or full kitchen and other unique features; please see the accommodations section of our website for more detailed information. Additionally, all Suites have light, comfortable waffle robes for your use during your visit. These robes are also available for purchase.

Can my children stay in the villa for free?
Baby under 2 years staying on same bed. One child, under the age of 10, is eligible to stay in your villa free of charge. Our various Suites are larger in size and can accommodate 2 children. We do have a limited amount of interconnecting villas, which enables you to have your children next to you.
Are babysitting services available?
Yes we do. The service is provided on request at an extra charge. One-week advanced booking is also required. Please contact the Front office staff at the resort for details.
Are nannies available at the resort?
Our Kids Club provides certified nannies free of charge during operation hours. We have facilities for kids of all ages, from infants to teens. If you need the services os a nannie after the camp closes, arrangement can be made at the resort for an additional hourly cost.
Are diapers available for purchase at the resort?
Yes, diapers are available for sale at the Gecko shop.
Do you have children’s menus?
Yes, we do offer kid's menus at Rim Lae restaurants and in-villa services.

Dining

Where is breakfast being served?
An all-you-can-order breakfast is served daily at Rim Lae Restaurant. We like to prepare you the hotel from fresh ingredient so most of our breakfast menu are from hot kitchen rather than a full buffet line. You can order as many dish as you prefer. Be warned, our breakfast is served in generous portion.

Afternoon tea is served daily between 4pm-5pm. The Rim Lae Restaurant serves its regular menu from 10:30noon-5:00pm and reopens again for dinner at 12:45pm. The Gecko serves delicious snacks from homemade burgers daily from 12:00noon-4:30pm. Please note that hours are subject to change.
Do I have to pay extra to dine at a specialty restaurant?
Koh Tao Cabana specializes in specialty restaurants and you never have to pay extra to enjoy our world of flavors. Each venue offers a unique ambiance and everything you order is always included and unlimited. Even tipping is not allowed. At other resorts the hidden extra charges can really add up. But at Koh Tao Cabana, your wallet gets a vacation too.
Do I have to dine at a certain time and at a pre-arranged table?
Never at Koh Tao Cabana. You're on vacation and shouldn't have to adhere to a schedule. Unlike cruise lines, there are no pre-set dining times or tables with strangers that you are forced to sit with every night. At Koh Tao Cabana, you can choose from up to 16 gourmet restaurants per resort and dine at romantic tables just for two. So dine whenever, wherever, and enjoy whatever your palate desires.
Can I make reservations for dining or onsite activities before I travel?
Reservations for dining (most restaurants don't require reservations) can only be made once you arrive at the resort. However, reservations for many extras (such as spa treatments, private candlelight dinners, scuba courses, tours, etc.) can be be made online. Please visit our Online Event Scheduler for details.

Can I order food to be delivered to my villa?
Our small boutique resort does not offer villa service, however our oceanfront restaurant is open for breakfast (7 am – 10 am), lunch (12 pm – 5 pm) and dinner (6 pm - 10:30 pm). We have a mini-market on the property and your villa is equipped with a microwave oven and refrigerator.
What is the standard tipping practice in Koh Tao?
Similar to many other countries, tipping the bellman, housekeeping, concierge, etc., is customary in Koh Tao. While tipping non-restaurant staff is at your discretion, you will find many restaurants add a service charge automatically into the bill and distribute it to their staff. At Koh Tao Cabana Resorts we do not add an obligatory service charge on our restaurant and bar bills. Tipping for excellent service is encouraged. Between 10% and 15% is customary.
Do I have to make reservations at the restaurants?
Dinner reservations are accepted no earlier than 24 hours in advance at the Guest Services Desk. Menus are posted both at Guest Services and in the Lobby the eve prior.
What is the dress code at the restaurant?
A 'Summer Casual' dress code for evening dining will apply. Ripped Jeans, Flip Flops, all Beachwear, T-Shirts and Gym Sneakers are considered 'Summer Casual. It’s your vacation!
Do you cater to vegetarians and vegans?
We offer a wide variety of menu and dining choices, which include some vegetable and vegetarian dishes. However, our vegetable and vegetarian dishes may include ingredients that are not vegan, as we do not cater specifically to a vegan diet. Due to the all-inclusive nature of the resort, we are not able to arrange private meetings with the Chef, or create individualized menus or meal plans for our guests. Do you have a tour desk where I can book excursions during my stay?
We don’t have a tour desk but our Front Office team are happy to assist with excursion arrangements.
Can I snorkel right off the beach at the resort?
Yes, and snorkeling trips are also available at the Front Office.
Is there a dive shop on property?
No there isn’t, but our Front Office is happy to arrange any dive excursions for you.
Where is the nearest dive shop?
The nearest dive shop is 10 minutes away. Some companies include the transfer cost in the dive package.
Can guests scuba dive at the resort?
Diving cannot be done 'from' our beach, but the snorkeling is great!
What activities are available at the Koh Tao Cabana Resorts?
Tours, water sports, sunset sailing, diving, horseback riding, windsurfing, golfing, shopping and dining are available near the resort, and many companies provide free pickup at Koh Tao Cabana. Our full concierge team can arrange any island activity for you from their desks, located in both lobbies.
Some resorts provide jet skis, banana boat rides, parasailing from their beaches... however we have chosen not to, in order to maintain our safe, peaceful and quiet atmosphere and comfortable swimming area. However, all of these activities are available nearby and are located a short walk up the beach. For more info contact the concierge.
Is snorkelling available off property?
We have snorkeling trips daily, available at a fee. The snorkeling gear at the resort is included and you can snorkel off our two beaches free of charge.
Is parasailing or jet skiing available?
No, we do not offer parasailing or jet skiing.
Is there scuba diving and how much are the dives?
There are so many scuba diving company in Koh Tao and they offer guests various dive excursions based on your level of experience. Charges vary depending on excursion. For more information contact Guest Services.
Are there ferries or excursions to other islands?
There are excursions and boat tours to the famous Nang Yuan islands.
Can I book tours & excursions from your resort?
Yes, at the resort our Front Office team are happy to assist with excursion arrangements.
Are there any day trips?
In addition to the complimentary activities that are a part of Galley Bay's all-inclusive package, there are a variety of optional excursions that may be arranged through guest services. Take a trip to Nelson's Dockyard or Shirley Heights. There is a fee for these, and other optional excursions.
Can you arrange day tours and excursions?
Absolutely! We have a wide range of excursions available. The Tour Desk will provide all the information you need and will reserve the trips for you.
